The Worst Comedy Movies Ever Made

Comedy movies are supposed to make us laugh and forget our worries, but some movies are so terrible that they only make us cringe. We’re talking about the worst comedy movies ever made, the ones that make us wonder why anyone bothered to make them in the first place.

Let’s start with ‘Movie 43’, a film so bad that it makes us want to give up on comedy altogether. According to a review on Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Movie 43’ is ‘a series of tasteless, vulgar, and unfunny sketches that are strung together in a plotless mess.’ Ouch. We’re not sure who thought it was a good idea to put together a cast that includes Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, and Kate Winslet and then waste their talents on such a terrible movie, but we hope they’ve learned their lesson.

‘Gigli’ is another movie that we wish we could forget. This 2003 film starred Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who were dating at the time, and was supposed to be a romantic comedy. Instead, it was a disaster. According to a review on IMDB, ‘Gigli’ is ‘a movie that will make you lose faith in humanity.’ It’s hard to argue with that assessment.

One movie that we can’t believe was ever made is ‘Disaster Movie’. This 2008 film was supposed to be a parody of disaster movies, but it was so bad that it wasn’t even funny. According to a review on Metacritic, ‘Disaster Movie’ is ‘a witless, juvenile, and altogether unfunny parody of Hollywood blockbusters.’ We’re not sure who thought it was a good idea to make a movie with a cast that includes Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra, but we’re guessing they regret it now.

Finally, we have to mention ‘The Hottie & the Nottie’, a 2008 film that starred Paris Hilton. According to a review on Rotten Tomatoes, ‘The Hottie & the Nottie’ is ‘a crass, predictable, and humorless movie that insults the intelligence of even the most undemanding viewers.’ We’re not sure who thought it was a good idea to make a movie with Paris Hilton as the lead, but we hope they’ve learned their lesson.
